welcome to bayhippisley.com
Bay Hippisley is an experienced, passionate and professional commercial food photographer and baby and child photographer
based in Fulham, close to Hammersmith, Kensington and Central London.
Photography has been Bay’s passion and career for
over 30 years. This invaluable experience in the industry has given him and
intimate knowledge of not only photography but also project management,
retouching, digital, set building, film, special effects, HDR photography and
many other facets of the medium. Being just as happy to work in the studio or
on location, as a commercial baby and child photographer or food photographer, Bay’s skills will encompass and
facilitate most requests. His clients have included, Honda, Boots, Toyota,
Hasbro, the BBC, Saatchi and Microsoft to name but a few.
Having finished his degree in photography the young
photojournalist took to the road and covered stories from downtrodden hippies clashing
with residents in Gastonbury to documenting high-class celebrity exploits at
the Cannes film festival.
He moved in to his first studio in London’s Mayfair in
the early 1970s’, shooting iconic bands like Bananarama and The Pretenders for
their album covers, one of which now hangs in the National Portrait Gallery. His talent was quickly spotted by the advertising
agencies that commissioned a series of campaigns during the 80s’. Clients like
Imperial Tobacco and Airbus both utilised his knowledge of the groundbreaking
special effects and model making of the time.
Bay spent much of the next decade refining the
skills required to work with children and families. Developing a unique
understanding of the dynamic required to capture real emotions and interactions
with the products, which is why he should be your first choice commercial food photographer and baby and child photographer.
Today
Bay still remains at the forefront of his profession employing all the high-end
digital tools available. His focus in recent years has been centred on food
shoots and editorials alongside work with design agencies and public relations
specialists. His interest in food photography has been encouraged and developed
by his wife Liz Hippisley, a professional stylist, who also runs a props room
based at Bay’s studio. Much of his current work has focused on expanding his
online portfolio in this area, accessible via the food link below.
Despite
the status of many of Bay’s clients he is more than happy to consider any job
no matter how simple or complex and is available for half-day bookings. He
works from his central London studio in Fulham, close to Hammersmith, Kensington and Central London. He would be more than happy to
hear from you if you are looking for a baby and child photographer for an advertising campaign or a food photographer to capture images for your editorial or marketing literature.
